Age Policy
Surrey Casino accepts only players aged 19 and over, without exception. Below, we set out our age verification process, the steps we take if a minor passes our checks, and the tools families can use at home.
Who is allowed to play at Surrey Casino?
Registration is open only to those aged 19 or over.
British Columbia sets the legal gambling age at 19, and every player on our site must meet it. We accept registrations only from areas where online gambling is allowed under local law, and we follow Canadian rules on anti-money laundering, age verification and identity checks. Opening an account, claiming Promotions and joining Surrey Rewards are reserved for verified adult account holders.
How is my age verified?
Age is confirmed before any money can be deposited.
When you sign up, you enter your date of birth and we confirm it through electronic identity verification. If that check does not give a clear result, we request official photo ID, such as a current passport, driver's licence or provincial photo ID card. Deposits start at C$10, and we accept no deposit of any amount until your age is confirmed. We also confirm that every payment method is registered to the account holder, which stops a child from using a parent's card.
How can I keep minors away from my devices?
Simple everyday steps help stop young people from reaching your account.
If a laptop, tablet or phone in your home is also used by children or teenagers, take these steps:
- Sign out when you finish playing rather than just closing the window
- Turn off password and payment saving in your browser
- Secure every device with a password, PIN or fingerprint lock
- Keep cards, e-wallet logins and verification emails out of reach
- Give children a separate user profile on shared computers
Everything that takes place on your account is your responsibility, including play by any other person who uses it.
What do you do when a minor is using an account?
The account is shut at once and all play is voided.
We take immediate action when we discover a player under 19 holding an account, or a minor playing through an adult's account:
- The account is locked and all bets are cancelled.
- Any winnings are forfeited.
- Once we confirm who owns the original payment method, deposits are refunded to it.
- The details are recorded so that a new account cannot be opened.
Where an adult knowingly allowed a minor to play, we also close that adult's account, in line with our Terms of Service.
What parental controls and filters are available?
Free tools let parents block gambling content at home.
Many phones, tablets and computers come with family settings that restrict app downloads and block adult websites. Home routers and internet providers frequently offer filtering across the whole network, covering every connected device. Specialist filtering software can block gambling sites as a category. Internet Matters offers free, practical advice for parents setting up these controls. Our Your Privacy and About Cookies pages describe what we store on your device.
Where can I report a player I think is underage?
Every report sent by email is followed up.
If you suspect a minor is playing at Surrey Casino, write to support@surreycasino.app with as much detail as possible, such as the username or the email address tied to the account. All reports are treated confidentially. General questions are welcome there too.
